Brunel’s long-lost songs, poems, and notebooks

In June 2020, Emile Brunel’s great niece Marie Laviron contacted Brunel Sculpture Garden inquiring about historical materials. After sharing some photos of Brunel’s notebooks with her, Marie lovingly translated a song Emile had written about Le Chalet and the creation of Brunel Park. The background image is Emile’s original handwritten score with lyrics. The music is a French tango that Emile specified his own lyrics should be sung to. Enjoy and watch here:
