Eco-Connection Circle w/Honey Sweet Harmony July 2023

Come gather with Honey Sweet Harmony to experience practices that foster deep connection to nature, supporting the feelings of groundedness, clarity, and energetic revitalization.

Diverse options will provide opportunities for participants to explore the practices with which they feel greater affinity. Story, Music, Movement, Silence, and Stillness will be among our elements for reverent/irreverent play, meditation, listening, reflection and integration.

In gratitude to the ancestors of all species and forms, we intend to offer the medicine of our circle to the future generations, as well as the nearby mountains and waters, traditional territory of the Munsee Esopus Lenape, the Mahicannituck River Watershed, and any beloved beings in need.

We will gather in the cool shade of the mountain woods next to a stream, unless inclement weather moves us to an indoor space where cats reside. Masks will be required if we gather indoors, please bring your own. Please follow your inner wisdom to support your wellbeing.

People of ALL ages and confidence levels are welcome. In this practice, we release societal ideas of what it is to be skilled or an expert, and allow ourselves to experience feelings of belonging and of being appreciated exactly as we are.

We will co-create a “brave” space that builds collective capacity to decolonize our cultural patterns and welcome all people, including those of currently marginalized groups such as AAPI, BIPOC, disabled, LGBTQIA2S+, neurodiverse...If you have any access needs, please email mccaddenhsh@gmail.com by Wednesday to request support, including but not limited to mobility challenges. Note the two helper dogs of Honey Sweet Harmony participate in facilitating our circles.

Honey Sweet Harmony is an interspecies creativity-catalyzing mentorship constellation.  McCadden is the human spokesperson; together with canines Wee Sliabh & Pac-ito, and feline twin elders Wyn & Izzy, kin are eco-spiritual healing arts practitioners, deep nature connection mentors, circle and ceremony facilitators, grief tenders, song and story catchers, and threshold guides, all of which weave together to support regenerative culture design. Kin are grateful to carry these practices into co-creation where’er they roam.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING/BUS ROUTE

Brunel Park/Sculpture Garden is located at the intersection of DeSilva Road and State Route NY-28 in the Hamlet of Boiceville, Town of Olive, NY. It’s  just west of Fabulous Furniture, Bread Alone, and the Boiceville Inn on Old Route 28, where parking is available, on the side road and across from - but not in front of- the red wooden store close to Desilva Rd. Access is via the turn off to Bread Alone. OR You can ride the free UCAT Z Bus from Kingston to DeSilva Road in Boiceville.

Then a short walk uphill on the Brunel Park/Sculpture Garden driveway, to the small trailhead just past the wood piles. At 3pm we’ll head into the woods together on a trail that is reasonably level but not paved or mulched.

In the event of rain or strong wind at 3pm, come to the back door of the log cabin next to the Brunel Park driveway.
